How to Get to Sixam in The Sims 4
How to Get to Sixam in The Sims 4
Sixam is a hidden alien world in The Sims 4: Get to Work. With glowing flora, floating rocks, and rare collectibles, this mysterious planet offers a truly otherworldly experience. There are two main ways to access Sixam: through a rocket ship upgrade or via the Scientist Career.
For a step-by-step visual guide, check out this video tutorial on reaching Sixam.
Method 1: Rocket Science Skill
The most straightforward way to reach Sixam is by upgrading a rocket ship with a Wormhole Generator. To do this:
- Level up the Rocket Science Skill to level 10.
- Purchase and build the Steampunk Flyamajig from Buy Mode > Outdoor Activities (5,000 Simoleons, plus 1,000 for construction).
- Once built, upgrade the rocket ship with the Wormhole Generator (requires level 10 Rocket Science).
- After the upgrade, select the Travel Through Wormhole option to enter Sixam.
Alternatively, Sims at level 10 of the Astronaut Career will receive a free rocket ship, and attending GeekCon (if you own City Living) allows temporary access to a rocket for space exploration.
Method 2: Scientist Career
The second method is through the Scientist Career, which unlocks a unique portal to Sixam:
- Reach level 10 in the Scientist Career.
- Upgrade the Electroflux Wormhole Generator using the Invention Constructor at work.
- Once upgraded, use the Wormhole Generator to travel to Sixam.
This method also grants access to an Alien Party, an event unique to the Scientist Career.
Exploring Sixam
Upon arrival, Sims will find themselves surrounded by glowing landscapes and strange formations. There are many things to do, including:
- Collecting exclusive crystals, metals, and geodes.
- Harvesting alien plants to bring back home.
- Encountering Aliens, who may appear and interact with your Sim.
While Aliens live on Sixam, their appearances are not guaranteed. However, if traveling via the Scientist Career, Sims will always be greeted by Aliens.
Can You Build in Sixam?
By default, Sixam does not allow building. However, players can enable Build Mode using the cheat:
bb.enablefreebuild
Be aware that modifying Sixam may impact Alien encounters, particularly the Alien Party from the Scientist Career.
Whether by rocket or scientific discovery, exploring Sixam is an exciting adventure for any Sims player!
